Location: Dallas,TX, USA
Works with local school districts, nurses and DSHS to coordinate vaccines for preventable diseases. Participates in planning of programs, policies, and objectives for the workgroup and department.
Works with public and private school nurses to increase vaccine coverage for school-mandated vaccines on the childhood schedule.
Collaborates with school nurses in assessment of vaccine coverage related to outbreak controls, including Covid outbreaks that require contact tracing and returning to school after closures and isolation.
Assists with assessment of annual vaccines coverage surveys for the 1st through 6th grades.
Provides education on reminder recall processes and other activities to promote compliance with vaccine schedules.
Collaborates with DSHS staff on daycare or school audits and reports.
Ensures culturally and linguistically appropriate messaging throughout outreach and field operations.

Education, Experience and Training:
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or in a job related field of study.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Ability to withstand prolonged standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs., unassisted. Ability to travel to various work site locations.
