Miller High School and Post-Secondary Programs. This position reports directly to the Director of School Security and Staff Safety.Minimum Qualifications•Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of safety and security •Knowledge of adolescent development to include brain development, mental health, and impulse regulation•Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and students•Ability to carry out written and oral instructions •Ability to monitor student behavior and deter inappropriate behavior while in the education setting•Knowledge of conflict resolution and crisis intervention•Demonstrated ability to quickly assess situations and provide the appropriate response•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to maintain records/documentation and prepare reports •Ability to perform physical intervention (restraint) techniques in accordance with procedure and training •Considerable work-related experience, including security-related experience required.Additional Considerations•Experience supervising and interacting with at-risk or adjudicated juvenilesSpecial InstructionsYou will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or rsum is submitted successfully.
