GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Answer phones; take care of parents, students, and visitors as they come into the office.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Communications
- Primary phone receptionist
- Greet parents and visitors and provide them assistance
- Call students to the office
- Assist the Transportation Coordinator with transportation issues (bus cards, bus and van issues)
- Maintain supply of all forms for teacher and office use
Clerical Functions
- Sort and distribute mail and mass communications
- Schedule Auditorium, Pupil Services Conference Room, Office Annex, Faculty Dining Room, and Library Classroom usage
- When students are absent, call or e-mail teachers to have work sent to office/retrievebooks from students' lockers
- Track missing students
- Distribute messages to faculty and students
- Arrange for teacher coverage
- Sell gym locks/hall passes
- Handle the distribution and collection of monies for outside organizations
- Process Time Sheets
- Close office at the end of day, shut down machines, etc.
- Track teachers' lesson plans
- Assist professional staff with copying
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Other duties to be determined by middle school administration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- Competent typing skills
- Knowledge and use of current technology

- Sitting at desk for extended periods of time.
