With our continued growth and mission focus we are looking to add School Security Officers to our newly awarded account in Syracuse which will report out of the Upstate Region.Job Summary:Arrow Security is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as School Security Officers with Retired Law Enforcement or Military Background. Must have prior School Security Officer experience. As a School Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the students, staff, and guests within the school district. This part time position requires individuals who are reliable, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and can present a professional appearance.Essential Job DutiesServe as a School Security Officer, providing a welcoming and secure environment for students, staff, and guests within Westchester County.Maintain a vigilant presence, observing and reporting any suspicious activities or individuals to the appropriate authorities.Greet and assist visitors, ensuring they adhere to the school district's security protocols and policies.Provide directions and guidance to visitors, staff, and students regarding the appropriate locations within the school district.Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure a coordinated response to any security-related incidents.Be available for after school activities and maintaining flexibility in scheduling.Prior Law Enforcement/Military preferredMust have a broad knowledge of school safety and security procedures.Ability to work effectively with campus-based administrators and staff.Knowledge of security computer hardware and software programs related to closed circuit television, controlled access, emergency management, and visitor identification.Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations and maintain and exhibit emotional control.Position RequirementsMust always present a well-groomed and professional appearance.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential for effectively interacting with students, staff, and guests.Physical ability to walk and move from building to building throughout the school district as required.Must have Valid NYS Security Guard LicenseMust have High School DiplomaMust have minimum 10 years' experience in Security or Law Enforcement/Military BackgroundCompensationPrevailing Wage pay and supplemental benefits totaling $22.44 payrate + $2.44 supplemental per hour which totals to $24.88.Shift Monday through Friday Day Shift follow school scheduleFounded in 1985, we have perfected our approach to high quality security.
