This will be an onsite position in the Grundy County, IL, fulltime W2 Contract.
Responsibilities:
- Consultation: Consult with teachers and administrators on how to support their students.
- Program development: Help develop educational and therapeutic programs.
- Community involvement: Facilitate community involvement in the school.
- Policy development: Help develop school discipline policies
- Assessment: Assess factors that affect student performance and behavior.
- Progress records: Maintain records of the support services provided to students.
- Counseling: Individual and group counseling to support students' social and emotional needs.
- Crisis intervention: Help students and families in crisis situations
- Family support: Meet with families to discuss issues like special education resources available.
- Advocacy: Advocate for their students and promote social justice
Requirements:
- A master's degree or higher from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Proof of completion of a State Approved Program (Use ISBE form 80-02S: State Approved Program and Completion of Standards Verification - School Support Personnel Only)
