The Recruiter will work with a team of recruiters and recruiting coordinators focusing in the areas of candidate talent search and placement, processimprovement, strategy development and will act as a sourcer for supported groups. They have a reputation for being exceptional at candidate generation, client/account management, organization, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, have an ability to prioritize their time, demonstrate pushback and a sense of urgency, and understand the value of providing amazing customer service.Key job responsibilities* Partner with research teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.* Must be able to understand how to recruit passive candidates from top PhD and Specialized Masters programs.* Build and maintain network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; conducts in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios.* Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.* Articulate in writing a strategic recruiting plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.* Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.* Ensure an excellent candidate experience through prompt follow up and communication with candidates throughout the candidate's lifecycle from initial contact to start dateBASIC QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor's degree* 4+ years of technical recruiting experience in high volume/high hiring bar environment (corporate and prior university recruiting preferred)* Account management skills - experience partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches while managing customer expectationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Superb verbal and written communication skills* Credibility with renowned, world-class internal and external subject matter experts in academia* Experience influencing senior leadership with data driven recommendations* Ability to understand and convey complexity in a polished and professional manner and to capture the attention of busy, senior executives* Tenacity, tact, self-assurance, grit, ability to think on one's feet and to know when to apply more pressure and when to give in* The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves * Solutions focused and comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions* Strong internal and external customer service focus* The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results* Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence* Proven ability to cultivate strong partnerships, interface, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization* Passion for innovative solutions and process improvementAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $138,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
