DESCRIPTION OF WORK
PennDOT has several opportunities for students to kick-start their career in Summer 2025! You can gain valuable experience in areas such as information technology, geology, or any other scientific or technical related field. This is your chance to put your college training to use, gain indispensable skills, and experience the satisfaction of public service. Internship opportunities associated with this posting will be for Engineering District 10 which consists of Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson Counties.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
- Work hours will vary based on position
- Some positions may require travel

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements:
- Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester.
- In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Special Requirement: Certain positions require a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
