Job Description:

Meet is excited to be partnered with a well known global Medical Communications agency to find a Scientific Director to join their established, energetic, and collaborative US team!

This agency works across various therapeutic areas and provides some of the world s leading biotech, pharma and medical device businesses with exceptional communications, market access, and consultancy services. You will play a pivotal role in leading the scientific strategy and content development for our publications. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled scientific writers, ensuring the accurate and compelling presentation of complex scientific data. The Scientific Director will collaborate closely with clients, key opinion leaders, and internal cross-functional teams to drive the successful execution of projects.

Job Description:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of scientific writers, guiding their professional development and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Oversee the development of scientific content for various publication types, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
  • Extensive experience managing a team and delegating tasks.
  • Ensure that all content is evidence-based, well-structured, and tailored to the target audience, such as healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their scientific objectives and translating them into impactful publication strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including account management, design, and production, to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
  • Provide scientific input during client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years experience in medical communications agency experience.
  • 4+ years experience medical writing and mentorship experience, specifically in publications.
  • Life Sciences degree, ideally paired with a Masters or PhD.
  • Experience managing a tricky client and still be able to dedicate time to developing and strengthening the team.
