As a spin-off of the Paul Scherrer Institute and by focusing on the needs of our customers, we are able to combine scientific excellence with qualified service and industrial know-how.Our scientists as well as our technical and commercial experts ensure that our customers benefit from the latest technologies.DECTRIS values collaborative working rather than traditional hierarchy and is guided by the principles of Sociocracy 3.0.Scientific Solution Architect - Materials Science Electron MicroscopyYour TasksOwn the seamless integration of 4D STEM, EELS, STEM, and MicroED workflows into DECTRIS CLOUD by collaborating with globally leading scientistsContribute to shaping the product strategy, ensuring it aligns with user needs and market trends, by e.g. gathering user insights through primary market researchBuild strong relationships with research institutions, collaborating on publications and showcasing the benefits of cloud-based workflowsPosition DECTRIS CLOUD at the forefront of scientific innovation for collaborative and data-intense projects, by e.g. presenting results and solutions at international conferencesProvide expert support to users, optimizing their workflows and offering technical feedback to the development team for continuous improvementFoster engagement and demonstrate the impact of DECTRIS CLOUD in the Materials Science communityYour SkillsPhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field, with strong hands-on experience in 4D STEM, EELS, STEM, TEM, MicroED, or general Electron Microscopy for Materials ScienceStrong programming skills, particularly in Python or similar, to customize and optimize user workflowsExceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiencesProven track record in driving research collaborations to successful outcomes, with a focus on achieving mutual goals and delivering resultsA wide network of scientific collaborators, ideally with experience in cross-institutional researchIdeally, experience with cloud-based processing and data workflows, contributing to streamlined, scalable research solutionsA results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, balancing scientific rigor with practical solutionsAdept at identifying opportunities for innovation and fostering long-term partnerships that advance the capabilities of the scientific communityWillingness to travel frequently (~30%) to engage with users, attend conferences, and support collaborations worldwideWe OfferA successful and growing high tech company in an international, scientific environmentJoining the global leader in HPC X-ray detectors for science and industry.
