Life Science People is partnering with a client of ours seeking a Scientist I with experience working with vaccines/infectious disease to join their team in Athens, GA.
This role involves independently designing and carrying out complex experiments, developing new methods and technologies to push forward the company's pipeline, and supporting vaccine candidate development, preclinical research, clinical sample analysis, and IND submissions.
Requirements
- Must have 3+ years of experience in viral vector process development, including both upstream and downstream stages.
- Practical experience with viral vector production in cell culture systems, with skills in bioreactor scale-up.
- Background in process characterization and validation for regulatory submissions.
- Proficiency in viral vector purification techniques like tangential flow filtration (TFF), chromatography, and centrifugation.
- Familiarity with automation systems for bioreactor and purification processes.
- Knowledge or experience with GMP standards.
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field.
