Job Description:
Job Summary:The Scientist will execute high-level laboratory work focused on new therapeutic modalities, including peptides, oligonucleotides, viruses, antibodies, and non-viral delivery systems. This role requires a proactive individual capable of leading experimental studies, troubleshooting scientific problems, and contributing to cross-functional teams to advance product and process knowledge.Key Responsibilities:
  • Laboratory Execution: Perform high-level lab work on various therapeutic modalities, leading experimental studies to enhance product and process knowledge.
  • Independent Work: Initiate and complete routine laboratory procedures independently; troubleshoot equipment and experiments effectively.
  • Experiment Design: Design and execute non-routine experiments with minimal supervision, ensuring scientific integrity and compliance.
  • Documentation: Independently write protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report data with high integrity; perform literature searches to stay updated on relevant scientific advancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives, presenting scientific findings in project team or department meetings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand and apply relevant regulations and client policies to ensure safe and compliant laboratory practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a related field, or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience.
Skills:
  • Proficient in wet chemistry preparation methods, including buffers and multi-component formulations.
  • Experienced in traditional chromatography methods such as HPLC, Field Flow Fractionation (FFF/AF4), and SEC.
  • Strong ability to plan, conduct, evaluate, and report on laboratory experiments.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NMR spectroscopy analysis.
  • Familiarity with sub-micron particle sizing methodologies (e.g., DLS, Flow Cam).
  • Knowledge of fluorescent labeling, microscopy, or image analysis.
  • Experience with biophysical testing techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation, electrophoresis, and PCR.
