Our client is a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in advanced drug delivery technologies and development solutions. They are currently seeking a talented Scientist to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines such as cGMP and ICH regulations. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional attention to detail, as accuracy and precision are crucial in this position.

Job Title: Scientist

Location: Somerset, NJ

Pay: $40 hourly

What's the Job?

  • Perform routine analysis of finished pharmaceutical products using various analytical techniques such as HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer, pH meter, etc., to test for assay, content uniformity, blend uniformity, moisture content, related substances, and dissolution.

  • Conduct in-process and finished product testing, as well as stability testing of samples under different ICH conditions, to support product development, manufacturing, and quality control release.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, including HPLC, GC, UPLC, Dissolution, UV, and Karl Fischer, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMP).

  • Review and interpret analytical data, investigate any deviations or out-of-specification results, and document findings in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as data trending, SOP revisions, and operational excellence (OPEX) initiatives, as assigned.

What's Needed?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or a related field. A Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or Pharmaceutics is preferred.

  • Experience: 3 or more years of relevant industry experience in supporting pharmaceutical product development, preferably in performing finish product testing, stability testing, and QC release activities.

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in instrumental techniques such as HPLC, GC, UPLC, Karl Fischer, Dissolution, UV spectroscopy, and other wet chemistry testing methods. Experience with GMP and ICH regulations.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret instructions (written, oral, diagrams, schedules), mathematical and reasoning ability, and ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for documenting and reporting data, as well as collaborating with other scientists and laboratory personnel.
