Position Overview: As a Screen and Glass Repair Technician, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the centralized repair location, managing screen, lamp, and glass repair operations for multiple E&H Ace store locations. This role involves conducting assessments, implementing quality control measures, ensuring accurate inventory management, and providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough assessments and repairs of damaged screens and glass components.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and durability of repairs.
- Manage the receiving, checking in, and delivery of items between stores.
- Efficiently drive and organize deliveries multiple days a week.
- Maintain proper in-stock levels of merchandise and needed equipment.
- Manage and track inventory of replacement parts, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
- Interact with customers, providing accurate estimates and keeping them informed about repair progress.
- Oversee the centralized repair facility, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workspace.
- Maintain records of repairs, generating reports to track trends and identify process improvements.
- Provide training to team members, enhancing their skills and keeping them informed about industry developments.
- Assess and repair various types of lamps, utilizing precision tools for sharpening blades.
- Demonstrate versatility and adaptability to work on a wide range of repair tasks.
- Assist in developing strategies to grow the centralized screen and glass repair center throughout all stores.
Education/Training: - High School or GED equivalent.
Experience: - Proven experience in screen, glass, lamp repair, and sharpening.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality repairs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Clean driving record.
Physical Demands: - Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), and climbing ladders.
