Description One of Acaras clients is looking for a Scrum Master/BA to join their team here in Williamsville, NY! Location: Williamsville, NY (Hybrid Schedule) Duration: Direct Placement/Fulltime Our client is looking for a Scrum Master/Business Analyst to play a crucial role in developing and enhancing their SAAS solution. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile methodologies and a passion for defining requirements, testing, and refining applications. Principal Responsibilities
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more development teams, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and facilitating all Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, capturing, defining, and refining requirements to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Support and guide team members in Agile practices, working to optimize workflows, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee application testing processes, ensuring that requirements are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Utilize Jira to manage user stories, sprints, and backlog items, ensuring transparency and accuracy in tracking project progress.
  • Collaborate with product owners to ensure clear communication of project requirements and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams across various locations to facilitate seamless project execution and alignment with company objectives.
Job RequirementsRequired Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
  • Proficient in using Jira to manage Agile processes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with an ability to guide teams in Agile methodologies and resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining requirements and testing applications.
  • Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
  • Experience working closely with product owners.
  • Proven ability to run all Agile ceremony meetings (stand-ups, refinements, retrospectives).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Background in the financial industry is a plus.
