It's their platform. It's your data. Own it. The Job The Enterprise Applications Scrum Master is responsible for managing all aspects of the agile/scrum process within the team. The role will partner with the development team and Business Project Managers to successfully deliver Epics and work items. The Role will be owning the refinement of the backlog, and assisting the leaders of development teams in building the sprint backlog. The role will also be responsible for coaching the team in the efforts of enhancing continuous improvement along with tangible reporting of metrics that shows progressive performance of the team. Your Day-to-Day Role

  • Guide the Enterprise Applications Team in Agile/Scrum practices and values.
  • Continuously review and adapt to the changing work environment and evolve team methodologies.
  • Remove impediments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Program/Project Managers to groom and prioritize the backlog.
  • Lead and facilitate ceremonies: standups, planning, retrospectives, delivery showcases, etc.
  • Build a trusting, safe environment fostering innovation without fear of failure.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate release planning activities for timely and successful delivery.
  • Monitor and track key agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).
  • Encourage and support self-organizing teams to foster collaboration and empowerment.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance processes, team dynamics, and project efficiency.
  • Embrace and facilitate change, adapting plans and processes as necessary.
Your Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • 2+ years of experience setting up and maintaining Jira or JSM
  • Good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g. numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Agile approaches, e.g. XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Second level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM II)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Important Details This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
