Key Qualifications
Certifications:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years in software product development, with at least 5 years serving as a full-time Scrum Master.
- Proven experience working with teams developing full-stack commercial applications, cloud technologies, and products.
Core Skills:
- Expertise in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, empowerment, and coaching.
- In-depth understanding of Agile values, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency in Agile techniques such as User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration/Testing/Deployment, and Automated Testing.
- Strong experience with Agile tools like GitLab, VersionOne/Digital Agility, and defect management tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Act as Scrum Master for multiple teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure alignment between Scrum teams, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-priority business objectives.
- Champion Agile practices, building a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Utilize metrics and information radiators to provide clear, transparent communication about team performance and goals.
- Guide teams in Agile techniques such as story splitting, estimation, and velocity tracking.
- Collaborate across the organization to identify opportunities for feedback and team enhancement.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum practices to foster a high-performing environment.
- Maintain focus on delivering complex initiatives, spanning new products, customer applications, and technology enhancements within defined timeframes.
- Lead by example, demonstrating commitment to Agile principles and fostering technical excellence.
