Line of Business: Technology Solutions Job Description: The SDWAN / Cloud Engineer II develops and maintains technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. Provides technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards. Duties include: •Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and secure network architectures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). •Implement and manage multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions to ensure seamless integration and communication across different cloud platforms and on-premises data centers. •Configure and manage cloud networking components, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, VPNs, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute. •Monitor and optimize network performance, including latency, throughput, and reliability. •Conduct regular network performance tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues. •Implement network security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant security standards and policies. •Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and security teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements. •Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients regarding network configurations and best practices. •Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. •Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance network performance and security. •Participate in capacity planning and scaling of network infrastructure to meet growing demands. Depth & Scope:
  • Expert knowledge of specific domain or range of engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes and procedures, as well as organization issues
  • Expert knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business/organization, Bank standards, and may fulfill a governance role
  • Expert knowledge and experience in own discipline; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities
  • Acts as a key contributor in a complex and critical environment
  • May provide leadership to teams or projects; shares expertise
  • Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree
  • Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
  • 7 + years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous cloud networking experience in Azure / AWS / GCP
  • Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Python / Ansible etc.) for the deployment of network infrastructure in cloud
  • Experience with troubleshooting Network issues across the entire cloud architecture
  • Good understanding of SDWAN architecture, hybrid cloud architecture, and network optimization techniques.
  • Firewall configuration, management and troubleshooting - including NSGs / ACLs
