Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!BECOME AN AIRCRAFT DEICER AGENT!As an Aircraft Deicer Agent, you will ensure the safe and effective deicing of aircraft to uphold operational safety and efficiency. Your responsibilities include inspecting aircraft for ice and frost, applying deicing fluids, and maneuvering large vehicles around the aircraft during the deicing process. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of deicing fluid usage, communicate with dispatchers and conduct daily checks on equipment and vehicles.WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS AN AIRCRAFT DEICER AGENTCheck aircraft for leading-edge ice and frostApply deicing fluid Type I and Type IV to aircraft wings, fuselage, and tailSafely drive large vehicles around aircraft while deicing operation is being performedAccurately record deicing fluid transactions for account purposesOperate headset/radio to provide communication with the dispatcherPerform daily quality control checks on equipment and vehiclesMust abide by and comply with all safety standards and proceduresResponsible for driving large heavy vehicles around aircraft while deicing operations are being performedDemonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job locationExceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsAbility to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenMust have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operationPHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:Ability to lift up to 70 poundsProlonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicableMust be able to push, pullMust be able to reach with arms and grasp with handsMust be able to work at elevated heightsExposure to outdoor elementsMust be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneelMust be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spacesExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarmsTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingersSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
