Assists in coordinating and implementing programs and activities. Responsible for ensuring safety policies and procedures are being adhered to by participants, and designated staff. The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbent(s) in this position. Essential Job Functions & Other Important Duties
- Leads all counselors, including pre-service training.
- Provides customer service to all participants in activities and programs at area of assignment.
- Completes and submits proper records including camp schedules, counselor work schedules, accident/incident reports and attendance.
- Develops age-appropriate camp curriculum (6-12 years) in accordance with the objectives of the program.
- Ensures staff is following established guidelines, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe environment for the children while promoting a non-competitive program directed toward accentuating positive behaviors, physical development, and emotional growth.
- Assists with the distribution and execution of weekly schedule of activities.
- Maintains supplies, equipment, and all necessary documentation for the operation of the camp.
- Communicates to parents about camper's progress and activities.
- Assists with on-going program evaluations, implementing approved recommendations as needed.
- Provides reports to the Program & Youth Services Coordinator on a weekly basis to monitor camp activities throughout the program.
- Promotes all facilities, programs, and services when in contact with Members and Guests.
- Responds to inquiries and complaints related to programs, services, and special events.
- Monitors facility activities for participant compliance with health and safety rules.
- Must possess current CPR and First Aid Certification and be able to perform CPR and/or first aid as needed.
Other Important Duties:
- Attends training and meetings as required.
- May be required to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential.

- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check, if applicable.
- May be required to possess a valid State of Texas Driver's License.
