POSITION SUMMARY:The Dallas Mavericks are seeking a passionate and motivated Video Producer to join our Off Court Video team. This seasonal position offers hands-on experience with our in-house production department. The position will play a crucial role in assisting with various tasks, helping toimprove production workflow and ensuring the highest quality content for our fans.JOB FUNCTION:* Support the video team as a production assistant on set during interviews, media day, and other creative shoots. This may require travel to locations around DFW* Assist on game days by running cards, labeling footage, shooting color, and helping with press conferences* Manage media by labeling and organizing video footage on Dropbox to maintain an efficient workflow Shoot and edit assigned projects for various platforms and channels, ensuring all deliverables meet our quality standards* Shoot and edit assigned projects for various platforms and channels, ensuring all deliverables meet our quality standards* Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and improve technical skills and creative abilities through hands-on experience and mentorship* Work effectively within our team, providing input and contributing to creative discussions to produce engaging content* Complete other duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function as well as the following:* Fundamental Knowledge of Video Production: 1-2 years of experience and/or actively pursuing a related degree in video production, digital media, or a similar field* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Basic understanding and ability to navigate Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other related software* Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, contributing to a positive and productive work atmosphere* Work Ethic and Professionalism: A reliable and hardworking individual who demonstrates professionalism, a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities, and a team-first mentalityEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.* 1-2 years previous internship or work experience in video production* Currently pursuing a degree in video production, digital media, communications, or a related field is preferredJOB TYPE: Part-time/ SeasonalEEO: TechniciansThe Dallas Mavericks provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
