Must be reliable and show initiative, tact, and productivity. Must be able to learn the proper use of hand tools, grounds equipment and riding mowers.Required: High school graduate or in process. Must be at least 18 years old. A valid State driver's license is necessary.Essential Functions of the PositionPark District CornerstonesFollow all departmental safety rules that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of Park District's safety and risk management program.Work cooperatively and collaboratively with residents, colleagues, the public, PDRMA and other agencies or organizations as delegated.Recommends improvements and efficiencies to better accomplish individual and district goals in the best interests of the St. Charles Park District community.Comply with park district policies and administrative procedures.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Parks and the Assistant Superintendents of Parks, the Seasonal Parks General Maintenance Associate shall complete all assigned duties to the best of their abilities, and be ever mindful of the best interests of the St. Charles Park District and of fellow employees.
