Location: Hutchinson,KS, USA
Hours: Variable, Sunday through Saturday - up to 20 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions -
* Plant, maintain, trim, weed, mulch, and water; Flowers, shrubs, pots, and landscape beds.
* Pick up trash/debris around campus.
* Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
* Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Secondary -
* Perform other responsibilities related to grounds as assigned by the Coordinators and Director of Facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS (Essential):
* Working knowledge of flowers and shrubs preferred.
* Good driving record is required.
* Must be neat, clean, and possess a positive attitude.
* Must be willing to cooperate with colleagues of all agencies, and willing to work in different maintenance departments as needed.
* Physical requirements include but are not limited to bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, and regular lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc. Outdoor work environment - May work in adverse conditions (winter weather) with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease; The ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; Visual acuity to view a computer terminal; Medium to heavy/outdoor work environment.

HOURLY WAGE and STATUS:
The hourly rate of pay is determined by the HutchCC administration. This part-time, temporary, seasonal position is nonexempt and is not benefit eligible due to the part-time status; however, KPERS Retirement Plan may apply depending on exact number of work hours.
