This role involves sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for a variety of positions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
- Source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, job fairs, and networking events.
- Review resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screens, and schedule interviews.
- Conduct in-person and virtual interviews, assessing candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and facilitate the hiring process, including background checks, medical screens, and offer letters.
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ADP).
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers and HR on recruitment progress and challenges.
- Assist with onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Participate in job fairs and community events to promote employment opportunities at the Philadelphia Zoo.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
What This Role Requires:
- High School Dipolma required, Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in a high-volume or seasonal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems, expereince with ADP preferred.
- Familiarity with various recruiting tools and techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
