Job Summary:

As a sales associate, you will be the face of our company! You will assist customers and help them recognize the need for our products and services. Must be capable of learning about what we sell and articulating our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. A positive and outgoing nature that enjoys serving others and making a positive impact on the organization is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE:
    • Proactively engage and connect with customers.
    • Ask questions and listen to customer needs.
    • Direct customers to merchandise; inform them about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers.
    • Provide premier customer service.
    • Build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships; take accountability for your actions and outcomes.
  • ORGANIZATION:
    • Maintain store appearance.
  • SALES:
    • Cross-sell products and know the layout of the store.
    • Make suggestions to customers on the latest trends and current promotions based on their individual needs.
    • Upsell products.
    • Learn product features and keep up with the latest trends; leverage company tools to provide product knowledge.
    • Use a Point-of-Sales system for cash handling, including processing cash exchanges and discounts.
    • Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
  • INVENTORY:
    • Manage merchandise, complete inventory processes, and ensure accurate ticketing.
  • DEPENDABILITY:
    • Adhere to assigned work schedule and follow through on assignments.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
  • PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of products/merchandise.
  • EXPERIENCE: Retail experience preferred but not required.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to business needs.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May involve lifting at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs.
  • OTHER SKILLS: Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a desire to provide outstanding service.
  • WORK HOURS: Available to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. May work across multiple departments and may be asked to work Thanksgiving week.
  • This is a seasonal position with an end date of 1 January 2025. No experience required. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
