Seasonal Snow Dispatcher (Part-Time, Evenings, Nights)

It's time to join the east Michigan's industry leader in commercial landscaping and snow removal. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed team member who loves dispatching to a team of field workers before and during snow events. The dispatchers primary focus is to be a point of communication between the Operations Team Leaders and Team Members and provide direction to allow team to complete the event safely and efficiently. The Snow Dispatcher also works as an extension of our internal Recruiting and Operations Team, assisting new hires to complete new hire forms in order to have them ready to be dispatched during snow events. We hire in high volumes for the winter season with the team primarily working overnight (3rdshift), so this position would work part-time, primarily during 2nd and 3rd shift. This individual will collaborate with our HR and Operations teams to assist in preparing for a snow event.

Team Member Responsibilities

* Available to work evenings and overnight (2nd in to 3rd shifts) in days leading up to snow events (this position is foreseen to work roughly 7pm - midnight and some overnights till morning, more frequently during weeks of heavier snowfall.

* Proactively communicate any pertinent information to the appropriate parties

* Monitor drivers to ensure that accounts are completed safely and on time.

* Troubleshoot and resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions.

* Proactively communicate any pertinent information to the appropriate parties

* Assist with Pending New Hires, assisting those that have applied but are not yet compliant and ready to work.

* Provides direction to new hires of which Team Member and/or Supervisor to connect with in which area.

* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

* Work on a computer in various programs to effectively record information

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience, Skills & Qualifications

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to communicate efficiently in a fast pace work environment

* Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

* Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other computer systems.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

* 1+ year of dispatching experience desired.
