Are you ready to play a crucial role in our warehouse team from October to December 2024? Uncommon Goods has several entry-level seasonal warehouse roles available in: Receiving/Inventory We're offering a competitive $20/hour rate for this fully onsite position at our Brooklyn headquarters in Sunset Park (N/R Train & B9, B11, and B37 Bus Lines). ABOUT THE ROLE As a Seasonal Operations Associate in receiving or inventory (Inbound or Stockkeeping), you will support Uncommon Goods by exceeding productivity goals and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our operation. You may perform a variety of duties in the fulfillment center ranging from receipt of all incoming freight, putaway, replenishing, and cycle counting inventory. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor. What You'll Be Doing:
- Verify and quantify incoming freight from the loading docks for accuracy and product integrity.
- Utilize handheld scanning equipment to receive all purchase orders quickly and accurately.
- Receiving and signing for deliveries.
- Unloading deliveries from trucks.
- Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
- Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
- Updating inventory with received items.
- Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
- Count and verify large quantities of units received from multiple vendor partners.
- Flexibility to work throughout multiple areas of the operation as needed.
- Always maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to Company Safety standards and protocols.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus; preference is for those with receiving, inventory, or stockkeeping experience.
- Experience operating heavy machinery including Electric pallet jacks.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for up to 8 hours.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Logical mathematical reasoning.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a great work ethic.
- Ability to use various computer software including email and other communication devices.
- Must meet our productivity standards on an ongoing basis.
