Job DetailsJob LocationCreation Museum - Petersburg, KYSalary Range$14.25 - $15.75 HourlyDescriptionThe Eden Zoo at the Creation Museum exists to be a world-class zoo providing guests with experiences and education that inspire a biblical understanding of stewardship of Creation. The seasonal zookeeper contributes to a positive experience for the zoo guests. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about serving others, the seasonal keeper will be assigned to monitor contact areas in the zoo ensuring safety and assisting guests. The candidate will also assist with general animal husbandry in the section including cleaning and diet preparation. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development while having fun along the way. Responsibilities

- Approach all tasks with a second-mile mindset.
- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Must be friendly and courteous to guests.
- Staff contact areas throughout the zoo, providing excellent customer service to guests.
- Assist in animal husbandry tasks including:
- Cleaning animal habitats
- Diet preparation under the guidance of section keepers
- Assisting with environmental enrichment under the supervision of section keepers
- Ensure the safety and care of the animals, guests, and team members.
- And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
QualificationsRequirements
- Must be able to stand and move throughout the attraction for the entire shift.
- Perform duties in varied temperature and weather conditions throughout the attraction (e.g., extreme heat/cold, wind, rain, snow)
- Bend and lift between up to 50 pounds.
- Must be least 18 years of age or older.
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
Education & Experience
- Must have a minimum of one year of work in an animal care environment and/or pursuing associate or bachelor's degree in zoology or related field.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
