Job Description:
AMETEK Precitech is a world leader in the desing and manufacture of ultra precision machine tools. We are seeking an experienced Lathe Operator with the ability to program/edit, set-up, and operate CNC Lathes to produce finished components to extremely close tolerances. Must have CNC experience and be able to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.Second Shift Position Responsibilities:
  • Edit/program, set-up, and operate a CNC Lathe and Manual Lathes.
  • Manage the work schedule to produce components in a timely manner
  • Regularly interface with product engineering/drafting and manufacturing engineering.
  • Perform special projects with minimum direction using prints, verbal instructions or hand sketches.
  • Assist in any function necessary to maintain plant and facility in proper order.
  • Properly maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, reach with both hands and bend as necessary, and be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Must be able to machine a broad range of material.
  • Must be able to read and work with prints and detail specifications, inspection reports and sketches in order to machine the products.
  • Must be able to use a broad range of measuring instruments, gauges and electronic indicators.
  • Must be able to operate hand tools as required.
