Compensation: $16.00 per hourAlliance Industrial has partnered with a local manufacturing company in Columbia Station. We are looking for an entry level Sorter and Secondary Machine Operator. HOURS OF OPERATION 7am-3:30pm Monday- Friday OT May be required PREREQUISITES TO LEVEL 1 Secondary Operator Safety training including training in the importance of machine guarding and safety equipment. Knowledge of the lock out/tag out procedure. Knowledge and application of plant and environmental safety concepts. Supports Seaway's emphasis of the team concept. Proper lifting techniques. Orientation. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OPERATOR: 1. Maintains work area and machine in a clean and orderly fashion. 2. Becomes familiar with all guarding and safety features of the machine. Safely operates the machine. Notifies experienced operator, supervisor or maintenance technician of any problems. 3. Maintains machine lubrication system, including oil level. 4. Is familiar with and performs minor daily maintenance. 5. Meets engineering standards for quality, productivity and tool usage 6. Able to tend machines, inspect parts, shut off machine and enter results in Plex. 7. Attempts common troubleshooting and machine adjustments. 8. Can read blueprints required to complete in process inspection. 9. Understands and complies with bin procedures. 10. Is aware of when tool changes are needed. 11. Spill prevention training. 12. Is trained on vision sorting system and understands how to use it properly. 13. Operates forklift safely and possesses a forklift license. PREREQUISITES for Manual Sorter Safety training including training in the importance of machine guarding and safety equipment. Knowledge of the lock out/tag out procedure. Knowledge and application of plant and environmental safety concepts. Support Seaway's emphasis of the team concept. Proper lifting techniques. Able to do repetitive assembly line type work. Orientation. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer Skills
- Familiar with out-of-control conditions & responses
- Able to identify potential problems by reviewing progressions.
Production Associate Pay/Benefits:
- Pay rate for Manual Sorter: $15
- Pay rate for Secondary Operator: $16
