This position is responsible for providing additional administrative support to personnel assigned to a Michigan State Police Post. Duties include, but are not limited to, the preparation of routine correspondence, memos, forms, complaints, post direct vouchers, expense vouchers, and monthly forms/reports; preparation and reconciliation of budget/procurement card summary, maintaining general files and master files, dictation/transcription, preparing and distributing mail, ordering supplies, operating standard office equipment, planning social events for post activities, and assisting the public in person and by phone at the post when needed. This position is required to perform all duties in a bias free manner.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) is a full-service policing agency with statewide jurisdiction, providing over 60 different services either directly to Michigan residents or in support of other law enforcement agencies. The MSP personnel most visible to the public are the uniform troopers whose primary responsibilities include traffic enforcement, crime prevention and investigation, and community engagement and service.

Two years of office experience involving administrative support practices, including one year equivalent to 6-level administrative support experience.?

Three years of office experience involving administrative support practices, including one year equivalent to experienced-level administrative support work or equivalent to a Secretary 7 or Legal Secretary 7.
