SALARY: LEVEL 8 on the Secretarial Clerical Salary Schedule. Experience increments depend on experience in the same or similar permanent position within a Washington State public school. Click here to view current salary schedule for this position. Responsibilities1. Assist the operations of the department, providing support to staff to ensure responsive and efficient operations.2. Assist Directors with inquiries, requests and addressing concerns and provide accurate information to the general public, district administration and other district staff, and vendors.3. Primary greeter and respondent to customer inquiries, ensuring a positive and professional image of the department.4. Provide secretarial assistance to the program staff, includes scheduling and drafting correspondence.5. Collaborate with other secretarial/clerical personnel regarding department workflow and other processes such as scheduling, ordering, and tracking departmental budget usage.6. Maintain department database/records, including data entry, records review and reporting.7. Create, transcribe, and process work requests; and perform dispatch activities to staff.8. Provide backup for payroll as needed including, but not limited to, gathering and processing exception hours forms, absence reports, accuracy of hours, leave days, calculations, and balances.9. Other related duties as assigned. QualificationsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. Bending, stooping, lifting may be required. 1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional secretarial courses preferred.2. Minimum two years of recent secretarial or clerical work experience required, experience working within a School District, building maintenance, operations, or trades environment preferred.3. Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute.4. Basic level knowledge of general computer skills, Microsoft office programs, payroll software, financial software.5. Work experience with a work order system preferred.6. Successful experience working in a busy office environment in a professional, courteous, and confidential manner. Additional Information
Work Schedule - Days and hours (listed above) are subject to change depending on program and district needs. Stipends, Leave Accruals and Holidays - Stipends, leaves and paid holidays are in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement () as negotiated.
