Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Section 508 Compliance Trusted Tester to join our team in the DC Metro Area. The successful applicant will work closely with our government clients to deliver top-tier testing services that ensure compliance with Section 508 standards, ultimately supporting our mission to provide exceptional service and client satisfaction. Job Responsibilities: As a Section 508 Compliance Trusted Tester you will:
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for testing Solution Delivery Division (SDD) ICTs.
  • Conduct accessibility testing to ensure SDD applications meet Section 508 compliance requirements.
  • Perform end-to-end manual testing using assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, screen magnifiers) for Section 508 compliance.
  • Report test results using standardized SDD templates and Section 508 reporting tools.
  • Perform initial debugging on test failures, analyze code, and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as the domain expert on accessibility for SDD stakeholders.
  • Provide outreach and training for project managers, web designers, developers, and content providers on Section 508 standards.
  • Collaborate with SDD Section 508 Point of Contact (POC) to develop and submit status reports, including annual OMB report for Section 508 status.
  • Develop and maintain metrics on Section 508 performance, such as planned vs. actual test events, and submit metrics weekly to the SDD Project Performance Report point of contact.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Tester certification required.
  • IAT II equivalent (ex: CCNA-Security, CySA+**, GICSP, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP or higher level) certification required.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Section 508 testing of ICT.
  • Demonstrable experience with WCAG 2.0 A/AA, WCAG 2.1 A/AA, and WCAG 2.2 A/AA standards.
  • At least 6 years of experience in testing platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and/or Java or .NET-based applications.
  • Experience working with Project Managers to develop Section 508 compliance test strategies and plans, including tailored reports.
  • Solid understanding of Section 508 standards and accessibility testing methodologies.
  • Experience with assistive technologies and manual testing procedures.
  • Proficiency in using various accessibility tools, such as JAWS, Inspect, ANDI, AMP, and Color Contrast Analyzer.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and training purposes.
  • Ability to handle various tasks effectively in a team-based environment.

  • Strong test writing skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Continuous Integration concepts.
  • Experience with testing in cloud-based test environments (such as Amazon Web-Services for the US Federal Government).

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is 85k to 120K. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
