The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty person at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Section Chief of the Division of Clinical Genetics, one of the largest and oldest clinical programs in Reproductive Genetics in the country.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Consultation with and oversight of genetic counselors.

Genetic medical care for preconception, pregnant, and adult individuals.

Participation in the care of patients with high-risk pregnancies (for candidates with joint MFM/Genetics certification).

Cover Labor and Delivery and perform and interpret ultrasounds.

Collaboration with Lurie Children's Hospital in the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health, a joint pediatric surgery-MFM program devoted to fetal therapy.

Teaching Responsibilities:

Involvement in student, resident, and fellow education; we are a major teaching site for the Northwestern University Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling. Candidates should have an established track record in research or other academic pathways.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of a medical genetics residency or fellowship.

Board certification in medical genetics.

Consideration for candidates with completed joint Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) and medical genetics or joint Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) and medical genetics programs.

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.
