Role Description: As a Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our organization's cybersecurity posture. You will assist in the execution of various security initiatives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective security measures. A security analyst's primary duties will be to detect and respond to threats facing the Bank and continually improve our security posture. In this role you will:
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments, tests and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support developing and implementing security controls and measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyberattacks.
- Administer and maintain security operations systems and tools to detect and respond to cyber threats.
- Participate in incident response activities, including detection, investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents.
- Collaborate with security, IT, engineering, and other internal and external teams to address security issues and implement best security practices.
- Assist in developing and documenting security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends in cybersecurity to continuously improve security strategies and defenses.
- Support security awareness and training programs for employees to enhance cybersecurity awareness and adherence to security policies.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, with knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Professional certifications from GIAC, AWS Certified Security, ISC2, offensive security.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze security incidents and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of potential attack vectors and the ability to develop appropriate defense measures.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, or Rust.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Be action-oriented, with strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
