WAGE RANGE: $90K OPEN UNTIL FILLED: 1ST CLOSING DATE OCTOBER 9, 2024JOB SUMMARY Responsible for directing all aspects of security operations, including supervision of staff and administration of policies and procedures that promote the safety and security of WRC guests and employees. Determines methods to identify, measure, and control risks/threats to the physical and financial assets of the Wildhorse Resort and Casino, all its enterprises, employees, and guests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure customer satisfaction that promotes return visits through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Protects the assets of WRC through competent, thorough security policies and practices.
  • Effectively communicates security procedures/practices across WRC, and all its enterprises, through various modes/training.
  • Facilitates a safe and secure environment for guests and employees, through a trained security workforce who serve tactfully, courteously, and with confidence.
  • Responsible for ensuring departmental compliance with IGRA, Tribal/State Compact, CTUIR Gaming Code, WRC/CTUIR MICs, the Wildhorse Resort Employee Handbook, and other applicable tribal laws and regulations.
  • Monitors operations for security risks, threats, and other business interruptions. Address concerns with due diligence and in an appropriate manner.
  • Supervision of staff to include hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance counseling, evaluation, training, operational orientation, and staff development.
  • Assures that security staffing is cross-trained for operational needs, including specialized security roles, officers, secured escorts, drop team, resort officers, key control, and transportation.
  • Plans and establishes operational procedures for fire prevention, health safety, traffic control, and guarding and patrolling physical properties.
  • Monitoring of personnel involved with confidential information, investigations of incidents and accidents, emergency drills, and evacuations.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, monitoring violations, addressing corrective actions, and coordinating dialogue with problem areas and/or recommended changes.
  • Develop an annual work plan and budget, managing financial costs efficiently and economically.
  • Monitors investigations for Internal Controls violations or conduct that negatively impact WRC policy or operations.
  • Oversees repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance programs for all vehicles. Provides strategic guidance, and operational and financial oversight for the WRC Shuttle fleet.
  • Demonstrate and promote professional standards of guest service behavior to both guests and staff, from security staff.
  • Uses various communication methods to engage staff in department operations and performance.
  • Oversee drug testing practices, ensuring staff is effectively trained to administer testing and conduct transports.
  • Maintain the emergency evacuation policy, keeping it up to date, accessible, and appropriate training. Conduct an annual review of the policy to ensure that it is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Participates in management meetings, sharing department operational concerns, needs, and ideas.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Promote effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through regular staff meetings, co-worker/management/supervisor team meetings, and other forms of communication.
  • Participate and attend designated meetings, training, activities, etc., as directed.
  • Utilize guest service feedback (verbal, written, and InfoSearch) to make positive changes to operations, staff, and facilities. Respond to all assigned guest inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure that all provisions of the Wildhorse Eviction Policy are in full compliance by training staff, recording and reporting all evictions, and any extensions, overturns, or appeals. Participate, attend, and supply weekly eviction reports for the Wildhorse Review Committee by the Wildhorse Eviction Policy.
  • Capably resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Serve as a resource for local/tribal law enforcement.
  • Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Complete management, supervisory, and procurement authority within the security department.
  • SIGNATORY ABILITY:
  • Department expenditures in compliance with fiscal policy.
  • Personnel actions.
  • Keys for table drop box removal.
  • Keys for slot drop.
  • Access to all backup-controlled keys.
  • ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:
  • All Security reports, records, mug files, security surveillance monitor, etc.
  • Pit area.
  • Any sensitive area, upon request, and when accompanied by the department supervisor or shift manager on duty.
  • Internal and external transport of cash.
  • Table drop boxes when removed.
  • Involvement with cage, in the Key Control System.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Five (5) years of management in casino security or law enforcement.
  • Five (5) years of in-depth comprehensive knowledge in security, investigations, live events, and risk management.
  • Experience in managing, supervising, and developing staff talents to enhance teamwork, company image, and cost-effective productivity.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with conducting investigations that withstand legal scrutiny.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy and ability to maneuver independently in MS Office systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Email, and Internet).
  • Strong communication skills required: to effectively communicate in writing including preparing professional correspondence, reports, legal statements, etc.; verbally effectively communicate with others and possess effective interpersonal skills and abilities to interact well with others.
  • Work/sit for long periods at work/computer station and perform the repetitive motion of arms, wrist, and fingers; and at times, move throughout a smoke-filled environment.
  • Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Law Enforcement or Security Management.
