We are seeking a Network Security Engineering Professional to join the Security Perimeter team within the Enterprise Network Services of the Information Technology Division. The Senior Engineer will provide engineering and automation of Firewall/Web Application Firewall on-prem and in the cloud. Other opportunities include automation through scripting, companywide new application implementation and other secure perimeter activities for the Freddie Mac infrastructure and applications across multi-site enterprise cloud and data center environments. This role will be the main point of contact for working with the business on a creating a new segmented environment for a new application.Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.•4+ years of professional IT experience with implementation and administration of any firewalls and other secure perimeter•Working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks products, with a focus on Next-Generation Firewall and some comparative technologies; Continuous technical development.•Proficiency in scripting/programming languages Python ,Perl, Yaml ,powershell•Added advantage on Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline•Linux skills•Experience with Networking and troubleshooting•Ability to prioritize work without management direction and provide clear, documented status updates to the management and the team.•Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.•Experience in supporting encryption and/or security appliance devices.Preferred Skills:•Strong understanding of network infrastructure•Familiar with Cloud service and Technology infrastructure•Critical Thinking of status quo•Proactive, self- motivated learner with strong drive to achieve personal goals.•Ability to work with remote teamsKeys to success in this role:•Excellent collaborator and partner•Spirit for innovation and ability to work in the space of no longer and not yet •Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies•Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as primary goal.•Innovative in providing solutions, likes to take on challenges with calculated risk.Required Skills : Must be Apex Systems Approved Vendor Basic Qualification : Must have Palo Alto Firewall experience and 4+ years Security exp Additional Skills : Must have Palo Alto Firewall experience and 4+ years Security exp Background Check :YesDrug Screen :YesNotes :Selling points for candidate :Project Verification Info :The information provided below is for Apex Systems AV use only and is not to be distributed publicly, or to any third party.
