Client: State of CA Position: Security Engineering Analyst - Governance and Compliance Specialist (Must Currently Reside in Sacramento, CA) Location: Sacramento, Ca (Onsite) Visa :: All (H1 From Trusted Vendor) Duration: 12+ Months Rate:$65/hr. on C2C We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Engineering Analyst to join our Information Security Office. In this role, you will support our Governance and Compliance programs, playing a critical part in safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring data security across various platforms.Required Qualifications : Key Responsibilities:Provide expert guidance on data security practices to protect sensitive information and mitigate the risk of data breaches. Securely integrate data between on-premise systems and public cloud solutions, ensuring a seamless and secure exchange. Develop and maintain data classification frameworks based on sensitivity levels, and establish guidelines for secure data handling. Configure and manage large-scale data security tools, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) applications. Optimize alerting systems across various data platforms to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. Assess the quality of data by evaluating its accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability. Monitor data usage and protection measures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce data standards, ensuring compliance through a governance-focused approach. Conduct training sessions to educate staff on security best practices and compliance requirements.
