Optimus Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center with sites operating in Bridgeport, Stamford and Stratford, CT. We are the largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County, proudly serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay.We are presently recruiting aFloat Security Guard to be located initially in Stamford and will provide coverage in Bridgeport as well at least one day per week. There may be occasionally coverage for Saturdays.VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION REQUIREDTHIS POSITION REQUIRES THE SECURITY GUARD TO TRAVEL TO MULTIPLE LOCATIONS FROM STAMFORD TO BRIDGEPORT THERFORE A DRIVER'S LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS REQUIRED.POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the security of employees, patients, and visitors, and for the detection of hazardous or unsafe conditions.JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS* Knowledge of relevant public safety codes and security procedures* Attention to their environment and premises as well as attention to small details* Sufficient verbal and written communications skills to perform the tasks required.* Ability to read and follow instructions.* Ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.* Ability to respect patients including those who have impaired cognition.EDUCATION:* High school graduate preferred or GEDEXPERIENCE:* One to two years' experience as security personnel.* Flexibility to workdays, weekends and evenings as required.* Flexibility to work at multiple sitesLANGUAGE SKILLS: Bi-Lingual preferred (Spanish) but not requiredLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:Connecticut driver's license requiredActive guard card issued by the State of ConnecticutWorking for Optimus:* OHC provides a fun, fast-paced working environment, where our commitment to quality is present in every job function.* Excellent health & welfare benefit options* Competitive compensation* Optimus and its caring, multi-lingual staff proudly serve our community in a patient-centered environment.To be part of our organization, every employee should share in Optimus' vision, support our mission, and live our values.
