Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
- Effectively interact with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees, and the general public.
- Presents oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
- Monitor for irregular or suspicious activity.
- Comply and enforce all company & client's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
- Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property.
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents.
- Completes daily and special reports by recording observations and information.
- Being alert to observe, correct, and report safety and security hazards.
- Responding to alarm signals (fire, medical emergency, inclement weather, safety/security threats, etc.)
- Promoting safety to prevent accidents.
- Comply with all specific post instructions.
- All other duties that are required and/or assigned manager.
Qualifications:
- 21 yrs. old or older
- Must be in possession of a valid S.O.R.A license or NJ Security license (Depending on location of position)
- At least 2 years' experience in security
- CPR and First aid/AED Certify (Company will pay for training)
