Security Guard
Armor Security and Protection is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The Security Guard will also ensure the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol Duties: Regularly patrol the assigned premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitoring: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the premises.
- Incident Response: Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, providing assistance to staff and customers as needed.
- Surveillance: Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Reporting: Write detailed reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Emergency Handling: Act quickly and appropriately during crisis and emergency situations, including administering first aid if necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service by addressing inquiries, directing visitors, and assisting in solving complaints.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous security-related experience preferred; military or law enforcement background is a plus.
- Certification: Valid security guard license as required by state laws; first aid and CPR certification preferred.
Skills:
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and operating security systems.
Working Conditions
- Schedule: Flexible availability required; must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
