Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities will consist of maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, employees and visitors. This generally includes providing a visual security presence in the community, patrolling the community both on foot and by vehicle and responding to emergency calls and incidents.
- Provides for the safety and security for all persons (patients, residents, visitors and staff), and property of the corporation.
- Enforces all Federal, State, and Local laws.
- Performs minor repairs on TV's and monitors electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. .
- Responds to and assists in fire drills.
- Escorts outside vendors and emergency personnel and assists as needed.
- Complies with organization and department policies and procedures.
- Maintains and demonstrates professional competency according to department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of previous experience working as a security officer.
- PPS certification Required, BELT certification Preferred
- Basic knowledge in the repair of mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment.
- Good writing skills to complete reports.
- Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
- Ability to assist in firefighting and evacuation.
- Must be able to drive on occasion for company business purposes. Must pass a pre-employment post offer motor vehicle report, as well as annual motor vehicle report.
