Patrol assigned campus(es) and/or district facilities. Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking.

Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to principal or assistant principal.

Control traffic and parking on district grounds during school hours and at after-hours events.

Document incidents in security logs and compile and file required reports.

Security and Parking

Register student vehicles and maintain accurate records of registration.

Work cooperatively with office personnel to inform students of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, lights on, etc.)

Assist law enforcement personnel as needed.

Give directions or act as a guide to authorized visitors.

Notify police, fire department, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention.

Operate all equipment including firearms according to established safety procedures.

Maintain and secure weapons at all times.

Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Individuals who are not peace officers with a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer (TCOLE) commission may not perform routine law enforcement duties, including making arrests, except during an emergency presenting a risk of death or serious bodily injury to someone at the campus.
