Job DescriptionSecurity Guard/ArmedAs required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, lawful resident alien, citizen of American Samoa or other territory owning permanent allegiance to the United States.Delivering proficient Level II armed security guard services, in uniform, for the protection of Southwestern employees, guests, as well as the safeguarding of buildings and property.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for Security Guard/Armed: $52,000.Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Security Guard/Armed Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain a professional image and be physically fit.
- Foot patrol of up to six acres multiple times per shift.
- Climbing of three floors of stairs.
- Response to medical emergencies, i.e. perform CPR chest compressions.
- Possess necessary training certificates to perform assigned duties.
- Visually patrols buildings, building grounds, and parking lots to observe unusual behavior and to prevent vandalism.
- Completes log entries.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Security Guard/Armed Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- This position requires completed Phases I, II and IV of the Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) education.
- Passed exams for Phase I/II and Phase IV.
- Qualified annual range qualification with their assigned duty sidearm with a passing score.
- Completed a CLEET accredited course of training for use of any assigned less lethal or non-lethal weapons, and annually recertify with those weapons (classroom, online or practical).
- Completed and maintains biannual First-Aid for First Responders , First Responder First Aid , or equivalent training. Any first aid training must include CPR/AED training, or CPR/AED training and certification must be completed and maintained separately.
