POSITION DESCRIPTION: SECURITY/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANTFlexible - 30 to 40 hours per week$34.64 to $39.28 per hourMarine Acoustics, Inc. Our areas of expertise include services assisting clients in meeting environmental compliance requirements and in the development of naval undersea warfare systems.MAI is seeking a Security and Information Technology Assistant who will become part of a progressive, ambitious business with excellent benefits. This position is an integral part of the company's Connecticut (CT) Technical Office, reporting directly to the Connecticut Office Manager and to the MAI Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for security matters. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask and meet deadlines, be detail-oriented, and have industrial security experience. The employee must be attentive to detail and accuracy, continually on the lookout for ways to improve services and efficiency, have a strong work ethic, and be committed to excellence.CANDIDATE WILL ASSIST THE FACILITY SECURITY OFFICER (FSO) AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY MANAGER (ISSM) WITH:Indoctrinating newly hired cleared employeesProcessing classified documents and assisting with electronic auditingSending and receiving Visitor Requests via Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)Maintenance of employee security filesPreparing, coordinating, and conducting all annual security education/trainingInvestigating, preparing, and submitting Security Violations and Incident ReportsPreparing and participating in yearly DCSA vulnerability assessmentsManaging storage, inventories, document control, and transmission of classified holdingsManaging facility security dutiesRMF compliance for Classified Processing ComputersEnsuring the facility is compliant with the NISPOMSome IT and desktop supportProcessing requests for new clearances, downgrading/upgrading, conversions, reinstatements, terminations, and periodic re-investigationsManaging access and perimeter controlsServing as Communications Security (COMSEC) Material CustodianReporting to MAI CT Office Manager and corporate FSO/ISSM (RI Location)ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Performing general clerical duties to include (but not limited to) photocopying, faxing, mail distribution and filing, answering phone and timely email responsesMaintaining inventory of office suppliesPreparing Purchase Orders and Purchase RequestsResponding to requests, managing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, keeping records, and scheduling meetings efficiently and thoughtfullyCreating and updating ad-hoc spreadsheets and formsOrganizing, prioritizing, and appropriately handling time-sensitive information and ensuring action/attention as requiredHaving a full understanding of the company's policies and procedures in order to assist and answer employee's questions and concernsMaintaining confidentiality and discretion at all timesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)High School Diploma or GED required5+ years' administrative experience in an office environment OR 2+ years working for a government contractor (including internships)Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products (especially Excel)Must be a US citizen and have an active SECRET security clearanceStrong multi-tasking capability, attention to detail, thorough organization skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED)Bachelor's degree in a technical fieldExperience working for a government contractorWorking knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 (The NISPOM Rule), DISS, NISS NBIS, and eMASSCOMPANY BENEFITSMedical InsuranceLife and Disability Insurance401(k) and Profit SharingEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Paid Vacations, Sick time, and HolidaysMarine Acoustics, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
