Job Description:

To join our expanding team, Polaris is seeking an experienced Security Liaison with expertise in security badging and access control protocols. The role would support access control monitoring, critical incident and crisis management updates/communications, and administrative tasks associated with office operations and business continuity.

The ideal candidate maintains careful attention to detail, thrives in a team and collaborative setting, and functions as an effective, consistent communicator to progress their tasks and deliver critical Client updates professionally, accurately, and on time.

The shift is 8 AM to 5 PM, and this position requires you to be on-site Monday through Friday. The salary will be commensurate with your experience and ranges from $34 to $38 per hour. Polaris offers its employees opportunities for significant growth.

YOUR ROLE

As a Security Liaison, you would be responsible for physical security for an A-Class Corporate building in New York, New York. You would be responsible for all the following:

  • Maintaining a discreet yet alert profile while onsite.
  • Secure the premises, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of site employees and visitors and fostering a secure, hospitable atmosphere.
  • Investigating suspicious individuals or behaviors and responding to any potential threats in a de-escalating manner, in line with Polaris' and the Client's protocols for the site.

Required Qualifications:

  • Retired law enforcement with relevant experience in security.
  • An active security guard license is required for this position.
  • Previous experience in security or protection roles, particularly in high-profile settings that required interfacing with the public or clients/customers, is imperative.
  • Corporate client coordination or customer service experience, including the ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to maintain composure and execute rapid, professional decision-making in coordination with corporate security.
  • Expertise in security badging and access control systems.
  • With or without reasonable accommodation, the role requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retired law enforcement with relevant experience in corporate/private protection.
  • Additional certifications or security training, including AED and CPR.
  • Experience with access control software like Kastle Systems, etc.
