In this role you will get to support the technology needs of the Information Analysts while actively identifying areas of improvement with the goal of decreasing response times, increasing effectiveness, eliminating waste, and streamlining security operationsWhat You'll Be Doing:Actively identify areas of improvement within the processes of our FedNet® Security teamAssist with the design, engineering, deployment, and maintenance of playbooks and custom automation products as threats change and new security tools and controls emergeAssist with the evaluation of automation tools for use by the Information Analysis and DevOps teams to integrate new functionality with existing systemsDevelop integrations with 3rd party services and APIsDevelop tools and automated tests for improving our compliance and security postureCI/CD pipeline work, reverse engineeringAssist with the design and gathering of metrics data for the Information Analysis teamPartner with other development and business teams to manage dependencies and communicate technical specificationsWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, computer security, or computer science preferredAt least 5 years' direct experience performing hands-on administration in an enterprise environment, preferably in a Security Operations Center or DevSecOps Team.A minimum of 3 years of:Coding/scripting in languages such as Python and JavaScriptREST API best practices and usageNetwork security experienceWindows and Linux administration tools and conceptsHands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, IAM principles and others3 + years of hands-on experience with Splunk, SentinelOne, Cribl (Stream and Edge), Centrify, and other security toolsSolid understanding of network operating systems (e.g. NX-OS, Juniper JUNOS)Solid understanding of Juniper SRX series firewallsUnderstanding of communication internet protocols and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)Familiarity with access control models and network securityKnowledge of monitoring protocols (e.g. SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX)Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. LibreNMS)Familiarity with organization and operations of a SOC environmentAbility to architect, automate, and deploy security tools across an enterprise networkAbility to interface with and describe security concerns to users, customers, and senior leadershipAbility to coordinate and collaborate with external organizations including IT teams, DoD partners, other security teams and Law EnforcementExcellent professional writing and public speaking skills, with an emphasis on creating sensible policies and procedures related to enterprise-wide security initiativesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate to a technical and non-technical audienceMust be a US citizenWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Secret Security Clearance preferredSecurity+ required; Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or similar industry certification/training desirableMid to advanced-level networking experience with Network+, CCNA or equivalent preferredMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneThis position is part of our Corporate team.We're driving the future of the national security and critical infrastructure markets.
