As a Security Officer, you will monitor the security of employees, customers, visitors and Company property.Description of Duties & Responsibilities:* Monitor surveillance systems, physical environment and all entrances to and departures from Company property.* Participate in the investigationof disturbances or other security related issues.* Enforce building security and visitor policies and procedures in a professional manner.* Provide assistance to employees, customers and visitors.* Engage additional emergency personnel as necessary.* Act as the Assistant Fire Marshal in the case of building evacuation.* Ensure security of doors, windows and security gates.* Document daily activities and irregularities.Required skills & experience:* 2 years of related experience required.* Multiple years of security and/or law enforcement experience required.* Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentials from the American Heart Association preferred.* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows Office Suite.* Working knowledge of security surveillance systems, telephone switchboard and emergency communication systems.* Must be dependable.* Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.* Strong communication skills.* Ability to be flexible with work schedule.Education Required: High School DiplomaPay Range: $18.16 to $20.07 hourlyThe starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.Visa sponsorship is not available for this positionRelocation assistance is not available for this positionSecurity Mutual is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAbout SML:Security Mutual Life is a leading provider of life insurance, accumulation products and retirement-, business- and estate-planning services for individuals, families and businesses.
