**Security Officer****Location:** Andover, MA**Shift:** Mulitiple shifts available - Please discuss with recruiter at time of interview**Wage:** $21.00/hourSecuritas USA is seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team at one of our premier client sites in Andover, MA.This position requires a highly observant, proactive, and professional individual capable of ensuring the highest level of security at all times. You will work as part of a dedicated security team to monitor, patrol, and respond to security incidents, enforcing company policies and procedures to protect the premises and all personnel.**Key Responsibilities:****Patrol & Surveillance:**+ Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the premises to deter and detect potential security threats.+ Operate and monitor security equipment, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.+ Monitor all entry and exit points to ensure compliance with security protocols.**Access Control:**+ Screen and verify the identification of visitors, contractors, and employees entering the site.+ Manage the issuance of visitor badges and ensure proper documentation for access.+ Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.**Incident Response:**+ Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or emergencies, and take appropriate action.+ Report any suspicious activity, incidents, or hazards to supervisors or law enforcement as needed.+ Maintain clear and accurate records of all incidents and actions taken, and complete daily security reports.**Safety & Compliance:**+ Enforce site-specific safety regulations and security policies, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.+ Assist with emergency evacuations and provide crowd control during emergency situations.+ Assist in conducting security assessments and audits as directed by site management.**Customer Service & Communication:**+ Provide a professional and courteous presence for employees, visitors, and vendors.+ Respond to inquiries and provide assistance as needed, creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere while maintaining security.+ Liaise with site management and security personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.**Security Systems & Equipment:**+ Ensure the proper functioning of all security systems, including alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and access control systems.+ Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.**Qualifications:****Education/Experience:**+ High school diploma or equivalent (required).+ Previous security experience or related work is preferred.+ Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and surveillance techniques is an asset.**Skills & Abilities:**+ Strong observational skills and attention to detail.+ Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.+ Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations or emergencies.+ Basic computer skills to operate security systems and report incidents.+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**Working Conditions:**+ This position may require shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.+ The Security Officer will work in a professional environment, interacting with employees, contractors, and visitors regularly.+ The work environment may include areas with security-sensitive materials or equipment, and adherence to all confidentiality and security protocols is essential.**ENHANCED BENEFITS**+ Medical Insurance (Anthem), Dental Insurance (Aetna) & Vision Insurance (VSP)+ 401k with Employer Matching+ Paid Life Insurance+ Paid Time Off+ Paid Uniforms+ Paid Training Upon Hire and Throughout Career+ Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program+ Specialized Programs for Continued Education for Security Officers+ Specialized Programs to Assist in Healthy Lifestyle and Financial Wellness+ Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)+ Employee Discount Programs (Vehicles, Cell Phone, Cable, Appliances, Theme Park Tickets, etc.\#NorthernNE Securitas is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
