Job Description:
Job DescriptionThe Security Officer is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff of Westfields Hospital & Clinic. Security Officers provide a variety of services ranging from routine patrols, emergency response, public assistance, report writing, investigative services and other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager, Security Operations. Essential functions include:
  • Patrol all areas of the hospital (internal and external) and any off-site properties owned and/or operated by Westfields Hospital & Clinic on a daily basis as requested.
  • Respond to the emergency needs of the organization and its occupants when necessary.
  • Respond to routing requests of all departments of Westfields Hospital & Clinic.
  • Report and investigate all incidents.
  • Keep accurate documentation of all events during a scheduled shift.
  • Responsible for quick registration for patients entering the emergency department.
Work Schedule:
  • Night Shift (10p-6:30a), varies depending on department need
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrates keyboarding skill and computer knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post high school education in the field of law enforcement
  • One year experience in customer service
  • Experience in working security, Law Enforcement, Military or mental health
