Through the consistent delivery of quality services and understanding the needs of our business, we develop innovative improvements as we strive towards our company's Big, Hairy, Audacious Goals!Credit Acceptance is hiring a Security Officer I to monitor building access and activity, greet and assist internal and external customers, and report any suspicious behavior.Outcomes and Activities:
  • This position will work onsite at an assigned office work location.
  • Professionally and respectfully greet and assist both internal/external customers to maintain high service levels
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
  • Escort terminated team members from the building
  • Appropriately escalate emergency situations to police, EMS, or fire department
  • Distribute and track security key FOBs for team members
  • Manage security access control system by adding, removing or modifying access levels in company security software
  • Contribute to the Great Place to Work culture that the Company strives to maintain
  • Monitor parking lot and security cameras and take action as required by contacting police to report suspicious activity or locking down the building if needed
  • Assist in facilities management by monitoring building systems and contacting vendors to repair any security monitoring system
Knowledge and Skills:

  • Be comfortable with repetitive tasks and face to face customer interactions

  • Document observations/situations clearly and efficiently

  • Be a quick thinker, with an ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively
  • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Receptive to ongoing feedback aimed at improving your performance
  • Able to manage conflict resolution
Requirements:
  • Must be able to respond to assigned location for an emergency call within 30 minutes
  • Basic computer and office skills (copy machines, fax, telephone, mouse and keyboard, email, and access FOB creator, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Prior Security or law enforcement experience
  • Available for overtime, weekends and evenings
Schedule:Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday: 3pm - 7pmCompensation: $19.00- $22.00/hour + annual performance bonusINDSERLP #zip #LI-OnsiteBenefits
